'Watch my corn pop up in rows'

After a lot of hard work, almost everything is up in the garden....and I have to say, it's quite rewarding. Can't wait until I can eat stuff out of it!

All the plastic is laid. Jed and I climbed all over the mountain of corn silage cutting the plastic for the garden....a strange way to get plastic, but hey, it was free!

Grow corn, grow! It was growing quite fast, but since we have been having the cooler nights, (odd weather for out here, I guess) it has slowed down. Looks like the warmer weather is back now though, so we should be eating corn in no time!

Of course I grew sunflowers! :)

These pretty roses were here already. I've actually found 3 or 4 rose bushes around the property. These are right by the door. So pretty.

My petunias. They are planted on either side of the sidewalk where we took the ugly shrubs out.

I forgot the name of these white flowers, but they sure are pretty and they are doing quite well. These are the urns from our wedding too!

I also forgot the name of the pink flowers. Oops!

More petunias and some sweet williams.

Iris that were already here. (And a Nessie in the background! :))

This is the trellis we bought for the sweet peas to climb. Can't wait for those to bloom!

More petunias!

It's been A LOT of work, but it's looking better and better around here!

GREAT job, Laura - your gardens look great. We've been having cool evenings, too - which is slowing down our plants' growth.
All the flowers are so pretty - isn't it a good feeling to have things look nice!

You must have green thumbs! It all looks so nice. Your uncle and I have been planting lots of things this year and the voles have been having a smorgasbord! They're really cute, but naughty. Uncle Tim is not pleased!

Auntie, we'll send Izz out for you! She's the best mouser/voler/rodent killer I've ever met!!! :) Although, I can't stand it when she does get one. I just don't watch!
