Back from West Yellowstone, sick as a dog, flying out tomorrow!
Ok, so as most of you know, I made it back from our snowmobile trip through West Yellowstone and between all of us with cameras, we got some pretty great pictures. I planned on having them posted at this point, but instead I decided to get a pretty nasty stomach virus. Yesterday, my wonderful husband took me to the ER and I got some fluids, anti-nausea medicine and some morphine (I LOVE morphine!) and today have kept down a few solid things. Now, I am getting ready to head out to Indianapolis to my cousin, Sarah's house. Then we are driving up to my Uncle and Aunt's house where Mom and Dad are and at some point driving back to NY. SO....I haven't had much time to update my blog. So I'll leave you with this until I can fully post our adventurous trip!

Naked girl
It all started just before the wedding. I noticed a small bald patch on the outside of Raja's thigh. I panicked. (Shocker, I know, haha!) It didn't seem to get any worse and no better, so with all the hub bub of the wedding, I left it alone for the time being. Then we moved out here to Idaho....and it's all been downhill. Poor Raja is almost completely bald on her underside. She's been to the vet quite a few times now. We are slowly trying to figure out if it's a behavioral thing or allergies, or both! She's on medications now. It's just such a long and frustrating process. I feel so bad for her!!! :(

Before

Before (My little princess is so graceful! Haha!)

After. :( The inside and outside of her thighs are bald and up her belly into her armpits! She's started on her tail and now it's looking thin! I'm looking into Bosley for cats. :) The good news is, her skin is still quiet, no redness, no scabbing. I hope to have my gorgeous princess back to normal someday soon!

After

After (Maybe I should crochet her some pants!)

She will still always be the prettiest little princess I've ever met! I could just squeeze her!!!!!

Laura C. Barnes, LVT, CVT
No pictures this post, but I wanted to let everyone know I FINALLY heard from the Idaho Board of Veterinary Medicine that I have received my certification out here. In NY I was a licensed veterinary technician (LVT), out here I am a certified veterinary technician (CVT). There isn't a difference other than the name. So I guess now, I start looking for a job! :) The one thing that I am REALLY not looking forward to is getting my continuing education credits. Out in Idaho they require a certain amount of continuing ed. (CE) credits every 2 years to keep your Vet Tech license. They didn't require them in NY. They usually offer some online courses and such, but you can only do a certain percentage online. Ugh! I don't want to learn anymore!!! :) (Just kidding!)
