After much deliberation, we decided on the side lawn for the garden.

Another before shot. (I think Jed is thinking, "This is going to be a lot of work.") Haha!

We weren't sure how we were going to get a rototiller, but one of Jed's generous co-workers just bought one and offered for us to use it.

Done with day one. It's a bit larger than we had thought, but I think we'll use all the space. We are planning on cucumbers, tomatoes, pumpkins, zucchini, peppers, and corn. (Can't have a garden without corn! I live for corn on the cob!!!!)

The next day we put some fertilizer/compost and lyme on it and finished it up!

Izzy, of course, was a big help! When Jed was putting the fertilizer on the garden, Izzy thought she might help out and pooed in the corner of the garden. Thanks Izz!

While Jed was hard at work, I was admiring the view in our backyard. I'm still not used to having mountains in my backyard. Although, I'm a tad annoyed with the permanent black spot on my camera lens! Argh!

All done! Now it's all ready to plant. Thanks Jed! Now, I wonder if he'll help me weed it???? Hahahahaha! Right! :)

aww! I'm jealous Laura! send some veggies my way! All I have in my garden is dead leaves and dandelions, I'm spoiled after all that lettuce I grew last summer! Oh well, odds are I can do a garden next year when I'm not enormously pregnant!
The garden looks great! Way for Izz to help fertilize for you, too!
Jeff's busy getting our garden ready - we're going to have 3 this year: one for veggies, one for pumpkins, and one soley for tomatoes. It'll be fun!
Great job! Looks good!
I'll send some right out, Liz! :) Now I just hope I can actually grow things!
3 separate gardens...hmm...never thought of that. Could be a good idea! I'm just hoping to master one big one! :)
Thanks Kelly! :)
