At this point I was just standing there, staring into the freezer...................CRAP!

The culprit....cherry coke. I always knew that things could explode in the freezer, but I have never actually witnessed it. I guess I know what I'll be doing tomorrow. (PS-I did eventually laugh...after all, what else can you do??)

on a positive note your freezer will be nice and clean after you get it all destickified...
Even though you told me the story last night, it's certainly better with pictures! I'm laughing SO hard right now - because I can only imagine THAT feeling once you discovered the explosion. Now you'll just need to take new pictures of your nice, clean freezer area :)

If it makes you feel any better that happened to me. When we lived in Albany I did the same thing but forgot about it and went to bed. In the middle of the night I heard this *huge* explosion. I thought someone was breaking in or someone got shot in another apt. Nope! Not very fun to clean up, but you sure laugh about it later =)
LOL. I'm so glad I didn't hear it explode. I'm sure it would have scared the crap out of me! I started the cleaning process. Boy, is that fun! :)
